The last time I was in Los Angeles, was to attend the inaugural 2015 CatCon. The organizers greatly underestimated the love of cats and over 10,000 people showed up that weekend. The adoption center couldn't bring in kittens fast enough. That's the year we picked up Malibu for my older sister. This year, 2019, I was ready learn more about TNR (Trap and Neuter) and meet Chris Poole, father to the famous cats, Cole and Marmalade. I have also been waiting for the right fabric to come along, so I
could make Deer and Doe's Chardon Skirt for the event. This black and white, cat, newspaper print showed up at a quilt fair that attended with my mom, just in time. It was fate. Except I don't believe in fate, so maybe it was just manifested. Either way, I sported my cat themed skirt, visited a ton of wonderful vendors, and spent some time enjoying the LA landscape.
